OJV 2024 donation handover, Salgótarján
An extraordinary handover ceremony, where our “newest” ambassador, 3x Olympic champion Katinka Hosszú, was also with us.
Before we discuss the details of the donation, a few important facts must be mentioned. The strategic partner of OJV Nógrád County is Megyervad Kft., or the VERBÓI FAMILY! Nógrádmegyer is a small village among the beautiful mountains of the county, but perhaps beyond its natural beauty, the name of the Verbóis is what hunters are really familiar with. The OJV is dignified and uplifting at all locations, but the hunt celebrated by the Verbóis at the Nógrádmegyer location perhaps surpasses everything in hospitality, humanity, and love. The generosity and selflessness that they put at the service of the common good through the National Charity Hunt is almost incomprehensible. We are incredibly proud of the whole family and we thank them very much for their role!
In Salgótarján, the children's department has once again received great honor from the hunters. They appreciate the performance and results that the OJV produces year after year. This year we can give 1,125,058.- HUF, from which the institution purchased a patient monitor with an SpO2 meter. We have contributed 7,750,424.- HUF, or 10 pieces of medical equipment, to the treatment of sick children in Nógrád County over the past few years.
We caused a big surprise to the participants in the press conference by having Katinka Hosszú among us, who arrived as an OJV ambassador. As a mother, she said that there is no higher priority than the health of children. She also praised the work and the social role that the OJV represents.
It is an honor to have 5 Olympic champions (12 Olympic gold medals) strengthen our faith in their person, who share our conviction that every person is responsible for every person!
We would like to thank Dr. Tamás Laczkó, the director general of the institution, and Nándor Skuczi, the president of the Nógrád County Assembly, for honoring the award ceremony with their presence, and we would like to especially thank both of them for their recognition of our charitable program.
We are grateful to our fellow hunters who hunted in Nógrádmegyer during the 2024 charity hunt!
